King Edward I 'Longshanks'
With the Village Green and a nature reserve next to us – separated only by a monument to King Edward I 'Longshanks' (to commemorate where he died whilst leading a campaign against Robert the Bruce of Scotland) The Greyhound Inn really does occupy a unique location!
In addition to which The Hadrian's Wall National Trail and Hadrian’s Cycleway, pass right in front of the pub making it a very popular and welcome retreat for both walkers and cyclists alike.
Fully re-furbished in Spring 2010 The Greyhound Inn now boasts a new bar, dining area and south facing raised deck area with beer gardens to both the front and rear where you can enjoy a relaxing drink outside whilst taking in the beautiful countryside.
We serve traditional real ales, beers, lagers, a large selection of spirits as well as liqueurs and wine is sold by the bottle or glass.
Please click onto the menus section to see our superb new lunch & evening menus, plus we constantly have an in house ‘Specials’ selection to add to your choice of fayre!
